Riot in Kanowit not related to race, says National Unity Minister

KANOWIT: The recent riot that happened here has nothing to do with racial issues, says National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang.

"The riot is a criminal case and does not concern racial issues," he said after closing the Kanowit Festival on Sunday

"Kanowit is still safe. If it is not safe nobody will come . Today, everywhere is crowded," said the Kanowit MP. On Sept 12, a group caused a ruckus at the Kanowit district office with a few individuals charged over the incident.Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohd Azam Ahmad Sapri said two were injured and their vehicles damaged in the incident.to our Premium Plan for an ad-free and unlimited reading experience!
