Shared by user 哈咯哈 on the social media platform Xiaohongshu, a condominium unit owner at Pasir Ris is trying to rent out his bomb shelter for SGD650 or approximately RM2,256 per month.
However, many end up using the bomb shelter as a storage room. In the case of this homeowner of a condo unit at The Esparis at Pasir Ris Drive 4, they are trying to rent it out, which is actually illegal by the country’s laws. Furthermore, the room only comes with a duvet but no mattress and what looks like a shoe rack. There are also no fans or air conditioning units visible in the room.
The homeowner also said that people from all walks of life are welcome to rent the room, including flight attendants, airport or warehouse staff or those working in the nearby Loyang Industrial Estate.
