The Inspector-General of Police said the suggestions made included adopting the minimum wage for lower-ranking officers and also a 30% annual salary increment.“A new police constable can only get RM1,441. The minimum wage of RM1,500 should also be applied to the police,” he said in a press conference after launching the Bukit Aman Wildlife Crime Bureau and Intelligence and Special Investigations at the General Operations Force base in Ulu Kinta here yesterday.
As for the Cost-Of-Living Adjustment , Razarudin said he had proposed to the government for police officers and normal rank-and-file in urban areas to get RM300. On the WCB/PSK, Razarudin said it was a commitment by the police to tackle illegal wildlife trade and environmental crime.
