Today, Samsung finally announced the mystery of the FE variants. Not only did the Galaxy S23 FE get revealed but as well as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Buds FE for the first time. For now, this article will explore the Galaxy S23 FE and here's what you should know about it.
Looking at the official specs sheet, the Galaxy S23 FE looks more or less like the standard Galaxy S23 but as a lesser variant. It features a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display in FHD+ resolution and supports an Adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The front camera is just 10MP hanging out as a cutout sensor on the display and the triple rear camera consists of a 50MP + 12MP + 8MP setup.
The chipset wasn't mentioned but it's a 4nm SoC and may differ by market and carrier. According to sources, the US market will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset whereas the Exynos 2200 is for international . For memory configuration, the Galaxy S23 FE has 8GB of RAM and comes in either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Finally, the battery is 4500mAh and supports 25W fast charging.
Running on Android 13 out of the box, the Galaxy S23 FE is also IP68 water and dust-resistant rated, and features recycled materials and packaging. For now, the price tag starts from $599 and will be available in Mint, Cream, Graphite, and Purple Indigo and Tangerine are also available exclusively at Samsung.com.
There is no official word from Samsung Malaysia yet if the Galaxy S23 FE will be launching here so we will have to wait and see. The Galaxy S23 FE will be available in Malaysia from 10 October 2023 onwards, with the price tags of RM2999 and RM3299 for the 128GB and 256GB models respectively.
