Samsung is adding a new sleep apnea feature to its Galaxy Watch series in Korea which will help people spot the symptoms of sleep apnea early.
is already a popular device for tracking health and fitness, and the company is now adding another useful feature to it: sleep apnea detection. This feature will be available in Korea via the Samsung Health Monitor app starting early next year.
Samsung’s new sleep apnea feature will help people identify their symptoms early on. To use the feature, users will need to track their sleep twice within 10 days, each time for more than four hours. The watch will then provide them with an estimate of their Apnea-Hypopnea Index , which is a measure of the severity of sleep apnea.
