KUCHING, Sept 16 — Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Ababg Johari Openg tonight expressed his hope that the federal unity government will continue to remain stable until the next general election.
“Only a strong federal government in an atmosphere of permanent political stability is able to focus on the needs of the whole country, especially the needs in Sarawak and Sabah,” he said. “Although, Sarawak and Sabah have made some demands, especially under MA63, it does not mean Sarawak, Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia cannot cooperate and strengthen unity for the sake of Malaysia.
