PETALING JAYA: The Education Ministry is probing an incident where some students from a school in Kajang were allegedly disciplined for wearing traditional attire for a National Day event.
An officer from the Deputy Education Minister's office confirmed that the Selangor Education Department is investigating the alleged incident.
A news portal reported that students from the secondary school were barred from wearing sarees at an event meant to foster unity. Parents of those penalised are worried that the mark in the record will harm their children's future and are seeking an explanation from school authorities.
