Kota Kinabalu: A 70-year-old former lecturer was freed of two charges of committing sexual abuse against his step-granddaughters.

Sessions Court Judge Dayang Ellyn Narisa Abang Ahmad discharged and acquitted the man after ruling that the prosecution had failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt against the man.The court ruled that the defence created reasonable doubt in the prosecution’s case. The court hereby acquitted and discharged the accused of the charges.
