When people think about Malaysian landmarks, the first building that comes to mind are the Petronas Twin Towers, affectionately known as KLCC by locals.

So much so that KLCC has become one of the top destinations for foreign tourists visiting Malaysia. But, should it be? American tourist, Jade, took to her TikTok account to share her unpopular opinion and belief that KLCC shouldn’t be at the top of the list for tourists as there are more cultural and unique places to visit in our country. She also urged tourists to skip KLCC entirely. She wrote, “Okay, I’m biased because I was here for 3 months and had time to do everything, but it’s really interesting to me that the Twin Towers are at the top of every KL tourist list.

In her post, she added, “If you’re a tourist in Malaysia, you should skip the Twin Towers. They’re pretty but there are WAY more exciting things.”Jade then listed down the places and things tourists can visit and do instead of checking out KLCC and yeah, they’re all food related. Among what she listed down are trying Roti Canai, exploring Brickfields for authentic Indian food, visiting Jalan Alor, trying the juices and iced sweets at a local mamak and more.Do you agree with Jade? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section. Also read: UK LGTBQ+ Couple Pretends to be Friends During Visit to M’sia, Says it Isn’t Safe for LGBTQ+ People
