: Kadar pengangguran negara terus menunjukkan trend penurunan apabila mencatat 3.5 peratus pada suku pertama 2023 berbanding 3.6 peratus pada suku tahun keempat 2022, kata Menteri Sumber Manusia V. SivakumarKatanya ia berikutan berlakunya perubahan dalam trend pencarian kerja yang ketara terutama melibatkan golongan muda sejak kebelakangan ini dan dalam masa yang sama, pelbagai inisiatif dilaksanakan oleh kerajaan bagi membantu golongan pencari kerja berumur 40 tahun ke atas.
Dalam pada itu katanya, data daripada Portal MYFutureJobs menunjukkan sebanyak 455,350 pencari kerja di seluruh negara telah berjaya ditempatkan dalam pelbagai sektor dari tempoh 2022 hingga September 2023. Mengulas lanjut beliau berkata KSM dengan agensi lain termasuk Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial akan melakukan lebih banyak usaha untuk memastikan kadar pengangguran dalam kalangan anak muda dikurangkan.
