SEREMBAN: Two more employees of a government hospital here have been remanded for allegedly soliciting and receiving bribes from undertakers.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission obtained a five-day remand order on the duo, in their 30s and 40s, from a Magistrate's Court here on Friday morning.
This brings to six the total number of employees from the hospital nabbed for alleged involvement in corrupt activities. They allegedly received bribes from two companies between 2021 and last year in 12 bank transactions totaling RM3,500. The suspects, three men and a woman in between 30s and 50s, allegedly accepted between RM100 and RM600 each time from the undertakers.
