The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is Qualcomm's latest processor, aimed at midrange smartphones on a budget. The Redmi Note 13 Pro will be launching in China soon with this chip.
of processors, they’ve now followed it up with a new midrange mobile platform, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.—which was more like a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 ‘lite’—the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is a little more modest. Built on the 4nm process, it features an 8-core Kryo CPU housing four Cortex-A78 performance cores running at 2.4GHz alongside four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores at 1.95GHz.
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 also has slightly less capable camera support, with the Spectra image signal processor capable of up to a single 48MP shooter compared to the single 108MP camera that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 can handle. It can also do 32MP+16MP dual cameras and a 16MP+16MP+16MP triple setup. There’s also support for Qualcomm Aqstic and Qualcomm aptX audio technology, as well as Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ fast charging.
