Mohamad berkata demikian ada sidang media selepas merasmikan Persidangan Tahunan Pengairan dan Saliran ke-25 di sini hari ini. Mengenai isu monopoli beras seperti diutarakan pelbagai pihak, Mohamad berkata kerajaan memerlukan alasan kukuh dan tempoh tertentu sekiranya hendak memecahkan monopoli beras negara yang dikuasai Bernas ketika ini, kerana kerajaan terikat dengan perjanjian bagi tempoh 10 tahun, iaitu dari 11 Jan 2021 hingga 10 Jan 2031.
