TAWAU: A suspected drug dealer who tried to escape from a roadblock by going against the traffic flow in Jalan Timur, Sin Onn was arrested along with 2.162kg of syabu last Wednesday.
Tawau Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the local suspect, 30, who has a criminal record involving drugs in 2016 is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. He was arrested around noon while driving a Proton Satria Neo following a chase.“After checking his car, we found six plastic packets, including two Chinese tea packets, in all containing some 2.162kg of syabu,” he told a press conference, Friday. “Further checking found that the suspect was jobless,” he added.
