PUCHONG: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has indicated that Malaysia will not budge when it comes to its position on the Israel-Palestine conflict and Hamas.
This is despite the United States House of Representatives to pass a bill regarding restrictions on foreign entities that support Hamas and the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine “We are a free and independent country,” he told reporters briefly after performing Friday prayers at Masjid Taman Putra Perdana here.
Anwar was asked to comment on the bill passed by the US House of Representatives, which is reportedly aimed at preventing international funding for Hamas.
