RANAU: The Mount Kinabalu search and rescue team (Mosar) responded quickly to the plight of a 29-year-old local woman who fell ill while scaling Mount Kinabalu, last Saturday.
Ranau Fire and Rescue Department Chief, PPgB Ridwan bin Mohd Taib, said the incident happened at KM4 Layang-Layang of the Mount Kinabalu climbing trail, at about 1.40pm.“We received a call through the Station Line and a team of five personnel from Mosar led by the Operation Officer, PBB Mosar Wandy John, went to the scene, where we found a climber suffering from stomach pain and unable to continue.
“Rescuers acting with the help of the Malim Gunung gave initial treatment to the victim and then brought her down to Timpohon Gate using piggy-back carrying method,” he said.
