Kota Kinabalu: Beliawanis in Sabah have been urged to participate in the Sabah Talent Entrepreneurship Programme (Step).

State Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry permanent secretary Datuk Mohd Hanafiah Mohd Kassim said Step was implemented in line with the State Human Resources Development Department and KSTI effort to promote entrepreneurship culture, especially among the belia and beliawanis in Sabah.“I noticed that all the participants here are all belia . I strongly encourage beliawanis to join this programme.

The Plumbing Contractor Course and the Electrical Contractor Course were held simultaneously between September 4 to October 3 while the Mobile Mechanic Course was held between September 11 and October 11. Each course was attended by 20 participants. For UMS student Nathaniel Wallace Kenneth Mosusi, 24, his mind was set to take on the challenges of the fast-evolving world.

“I will combine the theories or classroom-based learning at UMS and this hands-on experience and apply them in real-world situations. “I am currently working as a part-time mobile mechanic. Now that I have completed this course, I plan to properly set up and expand my business in the future.
