Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, who retired as health director-general on April 21, was hailed as a national hero when the country faced the Covid-19 pandemic.
Noor Hisham will oversee the strategic direction for UCSI Hospital and other subsidiaries under UCSI Healthcare, the group said in a statement today. Noor Hisham will also serve as a visiting consultant surgeon, specialising in breast, endocrine and general surgery, at UCSI Hospital. “All of us remember Dr Noor Hisham for his towering leadership and calming presence at the height of Malaysia’s fight against Covid-19.
