PETALING JAYA: Five areas in Peninsular Malaysia continued to record unhealthy air quality readings as at 9am Tuesday (Oct 3).

The Environment Department's Air Pollutant Index of Malaysia website showed that as at 9am Tuesday, Nilai recorded the highest API at 156 followed by Cheras and Seremban .The APIM website also showed that three areas in the country recorded good air quality with API readings of below 50 as at 9am Tuesday.

The three areas are Langkawi in Kedah with an API reading of 50; Kangar, Perlis ; and Kimanis, Sabah .
