Digital Nasional Bhd, Ericsson and MediaTek have successfully carried out tests on Malaysia’s 5G network for the implementation of the RedCap software.

The multinational corporation said in a press statement today that it has successfully carried out tests on Malaysia’s 5G network deployed by Digital Nasional Berhad .RedCap is a new radio access network software solution that enhances existing 5G use cases, and enables its use on devices such as smartwatches and industrial sensors.

Meanwhile, MediaTek’s general manager Miles Sun said the collaboration provides a path for Malaysia to enjoy new capabilities in the internet of things .
