MUAR: The newly elected Simpang Jeram assemblyman spent his first day as the people's representative by meeting and thanking voters.
Nazri Abdul Rahman, who won the seat with a 3,514 majority on Saturday , visited two kopitiam and a warung here, where he spent some time talking to the people."I will take one day of rest tomorrow to regain my strength as we have just had two weeks of intense campaigning.
He added that he would like to focus on addressing flood issues, providing more facilities for young people, and looking into the welfare of the elderly. "Even before the election, I have already been taking notes of the problem faced by the people here as I was also part of the secretariat of this seat under Salahuddin," he said, adding that his service centre was always open for the people.
