IPOH: Traffic congestion near a popular tourist spot in Cameron Highlands can be resolved if a solution can be found for the parking issue there.
Regional Environmental Awareness Cameron Highlands president A. Dilip Martin said there was a lack of parking spaces at Kea Farm and visitors park their vehicles along the road, causing congestion there and impacting other areas. Dilip also said that a proposed new road from Habu to Tanah Rata, announced during the retabling of the revised Budget 2023 in February this year, would not resolve the issue."The main issue is at Kea Farm, as traffic flow can be impacted until Tanah Rata," he said.
He said the Federal or Pahang state governments should revisit an old plan to build a business park near Kea Farm."The business park would have a multi-storey car park, shops, toilet and surau.
