PETALING JAYA: Lee Zii Jia has advanced to the Denmark Open's second round after beating Belgian Julien Carraggi in Odense on Wednesday night.
Zii Jia, the world No 11, dropped the first game before recovering to beat world No. 43 Carraggi 19-21, 21-15, 21-10 in a first round match that lasted 61 minutes. The Malaysian had won his first title of the year when he captured the Arctic Open in Vantaa, Finland on Sunday . Zii Jia will take on world No. 1 Viktor Axelsen of Denmark, who beat compatriot Magnus Johannesen 21-7, 21-9, in a second round clash later on Thursday.
