The directive comes from a government gazette dated Aug 21, signed by home minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
‘Mentega Terbang’ is an independent film directed by Khairi Anwar about the religious conflict faced by Muslim teenager Aisyah.
According to a report by Sinar Harian, the directive was made through the Government Gazette P.U 2662 Film Censorship Act 2002 of the Film Censorship Order 2023, dated Aug 21 and signed by home minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
