COLLEGE life is a mish-mash of going to classes, instant noodles and hanging out for most students, but unless daddy has deep pockets, money is often a big problem as youngsters try to survive on a shoestring budget. With their studies being their primary focus, most students don't have time to take on a part-time job to help make ends meet.
A post that went viral recently seemingly has promised students a light at the end of the tunnel, as it claims that all students pursuing higher education in the country are eligible to receive cash aid up to RM2,000 from the government.The Higher Education Ministry has come out with a statement on its Facebook page saying that the post is false.
For basic financial assistance, the Higher Education Ministry does run financial aid programmes for eligible students.
