A VIDEO has been circulating online showing a motorcyclist being attacked by a man by the roadside. In the video, a man is seen assaulting a motorcyclist in Klang after he honks his horn at a car that was being driven recklessly.
According to Malay news portal Sinar Harian, Klang South district police chief Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong a report was lodged on Monday following the incident at a traffic light along Jalan Langat-Klang.The victim claimed he was stopped by a three people in a car on Sunday night, and was attacked by them.
"Based on investigations, it was found that the victim riding the motorcycle honked at the car for driving recklessly which almost hit the victim."A suspect was seen pushing the victim who fell off his motorcycle. "He was choked, punched in the face and kicked in the stomach several times," he said in a statement on Oct 2.
The victim sustained injuries on his ribs, legs and face. He also faced losses of RM250 due to damage caused to his motorcycle. The police are investigating the matter under Section 323/427 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.Police have since detained three local men aged from 28 to 39 who work as lorry drivers.He said the main suspect also tested positive for methamphetamine.
