RECENTLY, a message went viral on social media; it claimed that the service charge at government health clinics would be raised.
In a statement posted on its Facebook account, the Health Ministry denied the claim and added that it views the spread of false news seriously.
"Irresponsible parties have caused confusion in the public considering that the ministry has not released any official statement about the raising of the service charge," it added. It added that the public is advised to stop the spread of any false information as this could cause confusion. "We advise all to be careful when spreading information and verify its truth before sharing it with anyone," said the ministry.
